Hi Ashok, Salam Namaste to all Gujjar brothers, The main gotras of Gujjars earlier were Pratihars,Chauhans,Parmars,Solankis,Chap (Chapotkat,Chawras) etc. and others may be the subbranches of these gotras. The presnt gotras are the sub branches of these gotras. Like Chechi are branch of Chauhans. Dayma and Dhamas are the same and Pundir is a branch of Dhama. The Great Gujjars Warrior Khande Rao who defeated the Ghori in the first battle between Chauhans and Ghoris ,and Ghori was taken half dead from the battle. His sister was married to Prithvi Raj Chauhan.
As we know that Rajput word was first used in the History in the 1398, when Taimur attacked India India.
My interest is to know the relation between Gujjars and Rajputs who share the same gotras. There are other castes also in India who shares these gotras with Gujjars and there are lot of information available in the historical records mentioning that mainly it is because of Gujjar princes having wives from other castes. In case of Rajputs also it should be true with an exception that they were born out of Imperial Gujjar fathers and the mother also from other royal family (Princess of a state of Non Gujjar fuedatories of Imperial Gujjars). The difference between the Gujjars and Rajputs sharing these gotras may be that Gujjars are are born out of Gujjars Mother and Gujjar father. Rajputs sharing these gotras with Gujjars may born from Gujjar father and non Gujjar mother but both the sides of mother and father were necessarily from royal family. I have given one example of this in the thread Gujjars and Rajput that how a Gujjar Solanki prince married a haiheya princes of rewa and are called Baghel Rajputs named after Gujjar Bagh Singh Solanki of the Great Anhilwad Patan.
For others castes sharing gotras with Gujjars are that only the father having Imperial Gujjar blood and mother not born in the royal family. The other reason sharing these gotras are that some people use the name of the village and places named after Gujjars/Gujjar gotras as their surname like Kasania may be used by other castes who were the vassal of the Kasana Gujjar kings.

As we know that Rajput word was first used in the History in the 1398, when Taimur attacked India and before before that history is written in the name of various gotras of various Gujjar kings. For Non Gujjars kings also it was true as Rajput word was not used describing these ruling people of ruling class and their gotras like Rashtrakuta, Kalchuri, Kushwaha etc. are used instead.
My interest is to know the relation between Gujjars and Rajputs who share the same gotras. There are other castes also in India who shares these gotras with Gujjars and there are lot of information available in the historical records mentioning that mainly it is because of Gujjar princes having wives from other castes.
